4:01pm: MFF
Now that I've had a night to sleep, I can actually think. MFF was great. The weather was nice; much nicer than what it was in Texas from what I heard. Hung out with a lot of people. If I've added you and don't remember who I am, just start talking to me and see if I can remember too. Being drunk is fun but not for remembering things. lol MFF is definitely a party con. I was drunk every night. =P I didn't take pictures but I do have video of the fursuit parade. The conversation briggswolf and I are having is quite amusing (well to me at least). I might have to post it. You see a pink husky and a cross-dressed wolf molest him. Blackmail footage...Mwhahahaha! =P I participated in the poker tournament, which is funny cause I don't really play too often and I don't gamble at all. I got 2nd at my table, which really doesn't mean shit except I got to be an alternate for the final, though it did land me drinks with the winner; which led to many drinks and parties later on! =P Flying back on Monday morning at 5:20 after staying up all night and drinking, then proceeding to work until 4pm....that was definitely the worst decision I've ever made about a con. I will never do that again. Upcoming cons should be Furry Fiesta and FCN (possibly) for now. MFM and A-kon (anime con) hopefully though the possibility of going to Hawaii toward the end of May might be throwing those off a bit. I'll have to see what I can do. And yes, I will definitely try to go to MFF again next year. =D

12:11pm: Bad genes
Dear God, Why did you give me squinty eyes? It's makes it hard to get contacts in =P I had my first eye exam in 4 years this morning. My prescription is the same as it was that last time I had an exam. It was kind of funny when they kept asking me to open my eyes wider so I had to pry them open with my fingers. They don't open that much! lol I decided to try out contacts as well. It's weird not having my glasses on and being able to see well. Though they feel funny. I've only had them in for about 2 hours now, so I guess I'll get used to them over time.

10:43pm: Sports talk
Is it just me or is anyone sick of all of sportsdom having their heads stuck up Brett Favre's and Tim Tebow's asses? Every day that I watch anything sports related, these two names pop up. And it's always praise toward the two. Granted Brett Favre is doing pretty well this year at Minnesota, but still, I don't want to hear about it all the damn time. And Florida and Tim Tebow. Guess what? Compared to the past 3 years, he's not as good as he was. And I'm sorry, the guy shouldn't be #1 in the race for the Heisman just because he played a mediocre game after coming back from a concussion. If that was the reasoning for awards, Troy Aikman should have been MVP in the NFL a ton of times. But yeah...I'm totally waiting for the SEC championship game where I can watch Alabama beat the crap out of Florida. It'll be nice revenge for last year =P

Today was the first day in a long time to where I left the back door open all day without the air conditioner on. It stayed in the 60s all day. Too bad this will go away by Monday. Forecast shows that it will be back up in the 80s with rain most of the week. If only there were more days like the one we had today.

10:12pm: It's more than likely a long post...I'm glad there are LJ cuts =P
First of all, thank you for all the well wishes for my birthday this past Friday. I got some from people I didn't know and some from people I didn't expect. Totally added some new friends on LJ as well. So it's all good! :D The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy for me. From Tennessee, MFM, and stuff going on at work, it's just been crazy. ( Crazy stuff )But yeah, that's basically what I've been dealing with the past week. I was so exhausted by the middle of the week from driving from Memphis to here that Monday (about 9 hours) then having to go to Dallas and back in the same day (about 8 hours) and meetings while there, then a couple of trips to Houston for my job (about 2 hours round trip each). I was so tired of being in a car by the end of the week. I need to update my resume just in case everything falls through in the end! I just got back from vacation and I could use another one! =P Oh, and Scribblenauts is awesome! =P

9:29am: Early mornings suck
Especially on about 2 hours of sleep. I'm up in Dallas for some training for somethin I just found out about yesterday. The guy my boss has been talking with wanted us all up here this morning so we left around 6am. I shouldn't have stayed up really late killing zombies =P

10:35pm: Vacation report
The past week has given me some much needed time off from work. Everything was good for the most part. Here's how the week went: ( The Trip )Wow, that came out longer than I had hoped. All in all, I had a great time. It was refreshing, though I still don't want to go to work tomorrow. And I know Bandit was incredibly thrilled to see me once I walked in the door. It was good to see him too :) I'll probably tell more stories later. This post is long enough and it's getting late for me. I do have some funny stories from the trip. =P

11:02pm: New HD
Good news is the hard drive that failed was under warranty, so I'm sending it back for a new one. Bad thing is, given the time to ship it there and get a new one, it would have been a week...so I bought a new one. And the biggest thing that sucks when rebuilding a computer: re-installing EVERYTHING you had. That and waiting on the shit-load of updates that Windows has come out with. Right now I'm waiting on 91 updates to finish, to be followed by a lot more. I think I need SP1 and SP2 right now... Yeah, and I lost all my Firefox settings, so I have to remember what everything I had on there was...that sucks too. So yeah, lots more to do with the computer. Seriously? It detected me in Amarillo....wtf? I'm just leaving it as it is.

4:19pm: Awkward moment
So, I go downstairs to the bank to work on an issue someone is having. When I get done with it, I'm talking with some of the other people that are down there. One of them comes up to me and says "I'm sorry about the death in the family." I just look at them funny and say "Umm....who died? I haven't been told anything about something like that." What happened was my sister sent out an email informing the bank that she was going to be out for the next couple of days because of a death in the family. Well it wasn't necessarily my family. It was Andrew's family; her husband's family. But Andrew's grandmother passed away this morning. Very odd how it happened though. They said that she went out to get the paper and one of her neighbors was walking their dog. The dog jumped on her, and kind of knocked her over. She went inside and called her son, Andrew's father, and said she wasn't feeling well. Sometime later she died because a blood clot traveled to her brain and caused an aneurysm. Kind of crazy how stuff like that happens. But it was incredibly awkward to be consoled for a "death in the family" when I didn't know one had occurred. Oooh, LJ can detect my location now. I can save the two seconds of writing it in =P

3:41pm: The weekend
The weekend went pretty well except for one thing. Drove up to College Station for Silvy's birthday party. Had to stop on the side of Highway 6 to change a flat tire about 4 miles south of CS. It sucked cause it was hot. So got another new tire from Discount Tires. At least that tire was the last of the 4 I bought last year to go flat. Hopefully I'll stop getting flats for now. Thank you Briggs for keeping me occupied on the phone while they fixed the tire. It made time go by much quicker...oh yeah, and you suck for your 70 degree weather. >:P Party was fun. Ate too much. Thank you Matt for smearing KY all over my face. I guess I can't blame you cause you were the birthday boy. Almost got struck by lightning as well, though I did get pelted by hail. That'll be the last time I run out to the pool in the pouring rain. =P All in all fun times.

I just had a thought (yeah, I know, it's hard to imagine). And some might not like it cause it might be a "OMG, too soon" kind of thing, though it's not like it's a bad thing. Anyway... How long do you think it'll be before something like Rockband: Michael Jackson will be made? I can totally see it. It would be pretty sweet too. Anyway, back to work for me...

11:09pm: Screw you Xbox Live!!
So in light of the new swimwear clothes that they have for your avatars on Xbox Live, I wanted to change my motto to portray what I chose to wear. Xbox Live won't allow me to have "wifebeater" in my motto. So I thought of something different...in light of the short shorts as well. And I can't have "shorts" in the motto as well. WTF? Shorts?! And it's smart too. You can't do "sh0rts" as well. Stupid fucking cigarette lingo. Damn you Obama! You take away candy-flavored cigarettes, and now my ability to fucking say "shorts" on Xbox Live! What next?! =P So now, I'm "Wife beatin' it up!"

1:39am: Rep on Xbox Live
Yeah, so the other night a friend of mine was talking about his rep on Xbox Live...so I went and checked mine. Here's what mine says: Of the people you have played: 37% preferred you or did not submit a review about you. 63% avoided you. See Details for more info. So in the details section, it's 20% for quitting early and 80% for unsporting conduct. I didn't think I was that bad. =P Oh and I bought my plane tickets for MFF. See in you in Chicago bitches! =D

1:07pm: A-kon
A-kon has come and gone. I had fun, like I do every year. Didn't really see too many people I knew, though I was busy running around most of the time. My feet and legs are telling me that even today. Hentai fest is hilarious. Saw lots of boobs and thong-clad ass in there. And I mean real ones, not animated ;) Anyway, here are my pictures: http://g-ni.furrynet.com/akon09/. Most of them are from the Naruto photo shoots cause Dennis wanted someone to take pics. Yeah...and I called in sick today. It's kind of funny cause my co-worker sent me an email saying he wasn't going to be in the office today as well. =P

After work today I'll be up in Dallas for A-kon this weekend. So if I'm not online, you know why. Last night was a bit odd. I took Bandit to my parents' house to be there this weekend so when I got back to my place it was just me. It was just odd how I didn't have to let the dog out, feed him, pet him, play with him, etc. It would be a pain to live by myself... And I found this amusing: ( I has infection? Oh noez!! )Anyway, I hope this work day goes by quickly.

11:56pm: Bad luck with tires....
On the way home from a fun weekend in Austin and College Station, I started hearing a thunking sound about a mile east of Plantersville. So I pull over on the side of the road, get out a flashlight and sure enough my rear passenger side tire is flat. So I U-turn back to Plantersville and pull in to a gas station to put on the donut. So 3 flat tires in a a 4 week span. And 3 different tires that are having the problem. So tomorrow it's another trip to Discount Tires. Though this time I'm having them check all the tires so hopefully it'll prevent it from happening to the last tire at a bad time...

9:42am: Another weekend, another wedding
First off, I'm just going to say Friday sucked all around. I shouldn't have stayed up until 3am watching X-men Origins: Wolverine because it really wasn't worth it. Just another Marvel disappointment in my opinion. Then later that night I was at the president of the bank's house until 11pm teaching him how to use his new iMac. Saturday I headed to Temple to attend the wedding of Tim and Cheyenne, two friends of mine from college. People who I, basically, haven't seen since we graduated. I still talk with them now and again but nothing like how we did while we were in school. Saw one of my professors, Dr. Armstrong, which was cool; also saw my old roommate Liz. So the four of us were back together again for the first time in two years. Kind of sad cause we were with each other a lot while in school and give Dr. Armstrong lots of hard times in our classes. I saw a couple of other friends from college too. So about the wedding: it had it's ups and downs. The wedding was at the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum, which is also where the train station is for Amtrack, etc. In the middle of the ceremony a train that was about to depart pulled up right behind the gazebo. In the middle of Tim's vows the train blew its whistle to depart. Very funny for everyone. =P The reception was kind of odd. It was fun sitting with my friends from college and drinking, eventually to the point that we were asking around the other table to see if they were going to drink the wine that was sitting on their tables. The band's choice of music was weird cause most of the songs were talking about leaving and things not working out and such. Just not the type of music you'd expect at a wedding. All in all it was good. Just makes me realize how much I've missed the area and hanging out with my friends there. And weddings still make me feel lonely.

So I was looking at imdb.com about the upcoming X-men Origins: Wolverine movie. One of the characters is going to be Bolt. Since I wasn't familiar with this character, I looked at the profile page. Here's what it said: Umm...yeah, laser nuts as a power. I'd be terrified of having this power. =P

7:50pm: Why did I even come back?
Ever since I got back from the Bahamas, everything has just been crappy. There's been a worm on the bank's network that we can't contain. We even have Trend Micro (the Anti-virus people the bank uses) working on it and they haven't given us a solution either. It's not like it doing any damage. It's just something that needs to be cleaned off. The church that is one of our customers (who gets support for free, which is ridiculous) has been calling a lot. Like I'll get at least 5 calls a day from them. It's kind of annoying and they get annoyed when I only go out there once a week since they're on the low priority since they don't actually give us money for our labor. President of the bank has just been a real dick lately. I finally got paid today even though I got my paycheck last Wednesday. I get home today and notice that Bandit's front right paw is really swollen. I have to take him to the emergency vet clinic since mine was about to close at 6pm (even though I called them at 5:15 and I like about 2 miles down the road from my normal clinic). Get there, have them look at it (after waiting in the room for one of them to look at him for almost 40 minutes and I was the first one there), and $330 later I get sent home with my dog, who's leg is still swollen, instructions on giving him Benadryl at 3am, and some antibiotics for the bite that he got to his leg. So yeah...Bandit's staying inside while I'm gone from now on... Also, while I was driving to the clinic, I got a flat tire. So while they were giving Bandit shots at the clinic, I was busy using an air pump to fill up my flat tire. I'll have to run to Discount Tires in the morning. The valve stem is leaking. So yeah...I wanna go back on vacation...

7:26pm: It's Better in the Bahamas
Before I actually went on the trip, whenever I'd watch BBC America I'd see commercials about traveling to the Bahamas. The commercials would have a song playing that sang "It's Better in the Bahamas." I can definitely agree with it. I'm going to make this post short and to the point but with trying to paint a great picture of the Bahamas. ( Traveling )All in all, the vacation was great. I'll gladly go back again, though I wouldn't go to Nassau (New Providence Island) without a group of friends. The resorts are nice, but if you don't like being around too many people, it's not the best place to go. Here is a link to the pictures I took. I will probably add more once I get the pictures from the cameras my parents took since they have the pictures of the wedding and other things. http://g-ni.furrynet.com/bahamas%20apr%2009/A little explanation of the images: The ones with aa in front is the view from my sister and her husband's room. The statue of Columbus, the tree and the govmansion pics are of the Governor's Mansion. It's kind of funny how the building is pink. =P And the dominoes...at least the box is honest. Bahamas dominoes...made in China...Gotta love it. Now I'm just dealing with my forehead peeling since I got a sunburn. And the fact that I have to try and give a damn about work now. lol

11:19am: So this is why...
I'm bored at work looking at This is why you're fat. I think my heart has stopped at least 5 times just by looking at the fatty concoctions that people make. Though a lot of it is very humorous, so my laughter has restarted my heart enough to keep me alive for now. Time flies...in a little over a week I'll be in the Bahamas. Crazy...I need to get my hair done and get a tan! OMG, so little time!! Though it would be nice to lose something like 30 pounds before then. =P Bandit's a pain in the ass some times. He's big enough now to where he'll jump up on the counter and grab things off of it. He'll even fish through the sink and grab things out of that. I've gone through 3 sponges in the little over a month I've been in the new place cause I forget to put them on the back part of the sink he can't get to. OMG lazy puppy! Yay for shitty phone camera resolution.
